This is a new lined version of our early settlers’ jacket in vintage wool.

Based on styles worn by early settlers who came from Ireland to the USA, a 17th to 18th century style jacket, with sleeves that roll right up the arm, practical wear for fisherman and farmers. But a version of this was worn by men of all classes – see painting of Sampson Lloyd (banker, 1765).

Hand stitched shank buttons. There are 2 large pockets inside each front.

The lined version is 100% wool and slightly bigger in the shoulders – as modern men are better fed than those in the 17th and 18th century!

If you drop things down your front we advise the use of a damp sponge or a flannel to clean off small marks. These jackets are100% wool and should not be washed, can be dry cleaned.
