Men’s high waist check trouser in a wool-linen mixture, button fly and brace buttons

Men’s high waist check trouser in linen-wool mix, an unusual cloth, this is not vintage but a modern English-made cloth.

We wear this trouser and love the fabric, it feels beautiful to wear, soft and not hot for summer wear.

Styles similar to this were worn from late 19th century to the 1950’s.  With button fly, side pockets, brace buttons and a swallow tail back, the trousers have no waistband, they sit above the waist at navel level and require braces to keep them up (not included).  Leg shape is slightly tapered.

When making the trouser we close the back waist last, allowing for a little alteration – either let out or slimmed in to fit the wearer.

The inside leg length is an unfinished length of 33″.  We will hem your trouser if you are confident the waist measurement will fit you.  We suggest you measure round the body at navel level to determine your size.

Care of wool trousers – this trouser is not washable unfortunately.
If you drop things down your front we advise the use of a damp sponge or a flannel to clean off small marks. If you get mud on the trousers, let it dry then brush them clean. Can be dry cleaned.
