Re-enactment linen shirt, in 18th century style – XL only
Similar style to our Napoleonic mans shirt but in a heavier more robust Irish ‘re-enactment’.linen in a natural white shade and 2″ longer than our other 18th century shirts.
Modern lighter weight linens have a softened finish, are easier to work with and to iron but active re-enactors often want a slightly thicker old-fashioned cloth. The finish is labelled as “PFD” – prepared for dye, so you can dye it yourself. This cloth does soften with repeated washing.
The shirt pulls on over the head and fastens with wooden (coconut) buttons at collar, front and on cuffs.
The garment comes in the following sizes, all generously proportioned: these are voluminous shirts so don’t buy up a size
